Alesha “Ne-Ne” DuPree

1997-2024

Alesha’s Heart Inc. is a non-profit corporation created in memory and to continue the legacy of Alesha DuPree. Alesha was diagnosed with a pineoblastoma (brain tumor) in April of 2021.

From that moment, her heart’s desire was to simply spread the word of God, encourage others and be a beacon of light to dark spaces. She was committed to spreading the awareness of brain cancer and also bringing “top tier” comfort to those in need. She was a believer in all things Christ and had a true passion for spreading the gospel.

The purpose of his non-profit set up in her honor is to bridge the gap between resources and individuals in need, offering counseling services, and raising awareness to childhood cancers.

About Us

Group counseling and therapy sessions to promote an elevated sense of worth, value of life, and provide coping techniques useful for everyday life.

Welcome to Alesha’s Heart Inc, a non-profit organization dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families. Formed in memory of the Late Alesha DuPree, a young woman who was near and dear to our community who ultimately lost her battle against a rare brain cancer in June of 2024. At 26 years old, Alesha’s heart was to serve others and bring encouragement, faith and unity to our community.

For both at risk youth and aging adults. Providing a secure and supportive home environment to provide stability and a foundation to successful independent living.

Our Mission

Connecting individuals with community organizations and agencies that can provide further assistance. This also includes access to Alesha’s Closet.

Our mission is to empower at-risk youth and aging individuals through counseling, education and enrichment, life skills training, safe housing and resource referrals. We are dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment where individuals can thrive and overcome the challenges they face.

Life Skills

Curriculum designed for girls ages 10-16 to teach valuable skillsets, communication skills, and socially acceptable techniques to be successful young women.

Transportation

COMMUNITIES WE SERVE

This program is funded by our sponsors and enables us to gift travel vouchers to our members. Vouchers can be in the form of bus passes, taxi prepaid fares, and or non emergency transport accommodations.

Education

Workshops, classes and informational sessions created to educate our youth and aging population. Topics such as budgeting, funeral pre-needs, insurance, health awareness and much more.
